Niagara Institute Programs
Executive leadership presents challenges that are
different from those at other levels of an organization: developing others,
building and maintaining key alliances both across the organization and
externally, and building a strong leadership team at the top and within
each function. To meet the challenges of executive leadership, executives
must know themselves and have a clear understanding of their organizational
challenges and how to meet them.
The Leadership Development Program (LDP) ® ranked
as the most popular executive education course in a survey of 61 executive
education programs conducted by The Wall Street Journal and Bricker's International
Directory. Learn how to motivate and inspire, build strong teams, think
creatively and commit yourself to lifelong learning.

Le Programme de leadership est un programme
intensif et hautement interactif de cinq jours qui vous permet de déterminer
vos forces personnelles et vos défis, d’établir des objectifs clairs et
de concevoir un plan concret de croissance.
In the summer of 2005, we launched a powerful new
program to complement our leadership development portfolio. Building
Leadership Essentials is a highly interactive program that provides
managers with an awareness of their personal leadership style and its
impact on others. Participants receive powerful feedback on their
leadership style and preferences when communicating, working in teams
and dealing with change.
Communication for the Senior Leader™ will show
participants how to take their listeners to new heights of conviction
and belief, whether they are delivering a formal speech, giving a
presentation, talking informally with a few colleagues or handling Q&As.
Drawing on the experience of the Humphrey Group with CEOs and
executives, this program will help senior leaders build a comprehensive
skill-set for effective communication.
Communication for the Corporate Officer is
exclusively for members of senior leadership teams. Top executives must
be superb at communicating corporate messages in every situation – from
formal presentations to off-the-cuff encounters. This program, taught by
Judith Humphrey, President of The Humphrey Group, will draw upon her 20
years’ experience coaching many of Canada’s high profile CEOs and senior
executives.
Speaking as a Leader™ will show participants how
to focus their thinking into clear, convincing messages that reach their
audience and persuade them to act upon their ideas. It will transform
participants into influential leaders. Participants in this seminar will
learn to speak so that others are influenced by their ideas and eager to
act on them. Through practice, guidance and feedback, they will discover
ways to deliver their message confidently.
Based on the best seller Getting To Yes, this program
uses new approaches to decision making and the latest thoughts on mediation
theory to show you how resolving differences and building strong relationships
are critical to organizational success.
This intensive program uses models, simulations, video-taped
activities and staff feedback to focus on three areas that are critical
to effective leadership-how to get peak performance from yourself and others;
how to develop effective interpersonal relationships; and how to develop
a high-performance executive team.
Teams increase organizational efficiency, especially
in downsized organizations. You can increase those efficiencies by understanding
team dynamics. Many organizations are using teams to increase organizational
efficiency, especially after downsizing. This program offers an opportunity
for members of your team to learn to work together effectively and brings
members of your team together to learn through exercises, simulations and
hands-on experience the task skills that characterize high-performance teams.
The Marguerite Cino Scholarship is awarded
annually to an educator working in a leadership position in Ontario who
is recognized by his or her supervisor, peers and reports, as someone
who seeks to achieve by combining determination and strength with
collaboration and compassion.
