Public Programs by Name Public programs are delivered throughout the year and are available for individual or team registration. Leaders come to The Niagara Institute to develop the competencies essential to strong leadership. Programs are designed to challenge participants to increase their versatility and capacity as leaders, preparing them to expand their scope of responsibility and increase their success. Comprehensive Leadership Programs are designed to provide leaders with a comprehensive learning experience across leadership skills identified as critical to effective leadership. Focused Skills Programs focus on a specific facet of leadership—influence and coaching, communication, change. Each of these programs complements the comprehensive leadership programs. Comprehensive Programs Executive Leadership Program Executive leadership presents challenges that are different from those at other levels of an organization: developing others, building and maintaining key alliances both across the organization and externally, and building a strong leadership team at the top and within each function. To meet the challenges of executive leadership, executives must know themselves and have a clear understanding of their organizational challenges and how to meet them. The Landmark Leadership Program™ The Landmark Leadership Program™ is a dynamic program that builds an in-depth awareness of the personal characteristics and preferences that you as a leader bring to your role. The integrated action-learning component actively takes this newly developed awareness and supports you in your work to achieve your leadership goals within your workplace. Niagara Institute Executive Coaches work closely with you throughout the program, supporting and reinforcing the demonstration of new leadership behaviours within your organization and advising how these skills might be integrated in other areas of your life. The Leadership Development Program (LDP)® Most leaders judge their leadership ability based on their intentions. Others, however, judge their ability based on impact. The LDP bridges the gap from intention to impact. This program is rich in personal feedback and will give you a fundamental understanding of your leadership style and its impact on others, as well as ongoing development of leadership skills. Building Leadership Essentials This program is designed to expand your leadership capabilities by helping you to understand how to build your versatility as a leader. In this highly interactive program, you will be both supported and challenged as you work together with Niagara Institute Facilitators, Executive Coaches and other participants. Specialized Skill Development Programs Building Leadership Resilience Resilient Leaders are highly valued because they not only achieve results; they also model a perspective which opens possibilities for those around them. Their energy is contagious. They set a tone and culture of seeking new solutions in challenging times. Building Leadership Resilience off ers models, tools and techniques to help you become more resilient. The program will help you increase your ability to successfully impact the business and achieve lasting results, maintaining high performance while under high pressure. Influencing Skills for Leaders This intensive program uses models, simulations, videotaped activities, and staff feedback to focus on three areas that are critical to effective leadership: how to get peak performance from yourself and others; how to develop effective interpersonal relationships; and how to develop a high-performance executive team. Communication for the Senior Leader® Communication for the Senior Leader® will show participants how to take their listeners to new heights of conviction and belief, whether they are delivering a formal speech, giving a presentation, talking informally with a few colleagues, or handling Q&As. Drawing on the experience of The Humphrey Group with CEOs and executives, this program will help senior leaders build a comprehensive skill set for effective communication. Speaking as a Leader® Speaking as a Leader® will show participants how to focus their thinking so they are able to deliver clear, convincing messages. This program will transform participants into influential leaders. Participants will learn to speak so that others are influenced by their ideas and eager to act on them. Through practice, guidance, and feedback, they will discover ways to deliver their message confidently. Influencing Skills for Women Leaders This program is specifically designed for women who want to explore, practice and develop their skills in effectively influencing others in order to achieve exceptional results. This intensive two-day program, rich in personal feedback, will offer you the opportunity to stretch and develop beyond your current practice and explore new ways to articulate vision, build buy-in, overcome common communication blocks and truly lead, collaborate with, and challenge others at all levels of the organization. Change Leadership for Change Agents Change Leadership for Change Agents builds upon the extensive change leadership understanding that Niagara has developed over its nearly 40 years in business. This two-day workshop will provide any leader involved in change with a complete set of skills and diagnostic tools to work through any change project with confidence and success.
