And yet, when handled effectively, these moments of truth can deliver performance improvements, deepen the relationship, and become a growth experience for both coach and coachee.

Managing Challenging Conversations is a highly practical half-day course that explores the principles of effective feedback and productive difficult conversations at work - whether in-person or remote. The program equips participants with a set of skills for having difficult conversations in a way that minimizes defensiveness and delivers positive results.

While we know participants will complete this program feeling inspired, we'll do you one better. This program will leave them immediately equipped and confidently able to:

  • Effectively deliver constructive feedback

  • Identify and avoid four traps that can trigger defensiveness

  • Follow a framework for confronting issues in a way that is direct but focused on coaching, development, and preserving the relationship

  • Deliver an opening statement that will minimize defensiveness and promote dialogue

  • Carry a difficult conversation through to resolution and accountability

  • Manage their emotional reactions
