Speaking as a Leader® A program offered by The Humphrey Group Overview Speaking as a Leader® will make you an effective speaker in all situations, from company meetings and phone calls to presentations and brief one-on-one meetings. You will learn to speak with a clear message, persuasive structure, and conversational language. Through practice, guidance, and feedback, you will learn how to deliver your message confidently and with maximum effectiveness. Who Should Attend Speaking as a Leader® is for managers and professionals who want to communicate as leaders. Features - Opportunities to create and deliver a message with maximum impact;
- Individual feedback on your strengths and weaknesses in delivering a presentation;
- Practical experience involving several methods of communication through small group exercises; and
- Skill development in creating PowerPoint presentations that lead.
Outcomes - Use and apply a leadership model to create your message and develop a logical structure to drive home your points.
- Choose the language of leadership and motivate your audience to listen.
- Put the “point” back into PowerPoint. Design visuals to convey ideas, not just facts.
- Project leadership through eye contact, pace, voice, expression, body language, and tone.
- Speak as a leader in all settings—formal and informal, planned and impromptu.
- Master the “elevator” conversation and deliver focused, incisive answers.
- Develop a polished leadership presence.
