Communication for the Senior Leader®

Overview

Communication for the Senior Leader® focuses on the strong links between leadership and communication. Participants will learn how to move from the traditional reliance on PowerPoint to well-crafted notes and off-the-cuff “scripts” that convey confident leadership in everyday situations.

Who Should Attend

This program is for leaders at the director level or above who want to be influential and inspirational and to have the strong communication skills required of successful executives.

The Language of Leadership—Craft your talk, change your audience, and transform your talk for a different audience
Day 2 Achieving an Executive Presence—Use eye contact, pace, voice, expression, and body language effectively

Delivering a Talk in a Small Group Workshop—Master impromptu speaking, the “elevator pitch,” and Q&As
Day 3 Creating the Inspirational Speech—Create a formal scripted speech from outline to polished remarks, and learn how to use embellishments and rhetoric effectively

Delivering the Inspirational Speech—Learn how to read a prepared text conversationally, how to stand at a podium, and how to use gestures effectively
